During the Second World War, Australian troops faced the scorching heat of the Middle-Eastern and Pacific theatres. To combat the extreme temperatures, they were issued with lightweight khaki cotton drill shirts and shorts. However, in the dense green jungles of the Pacific, soldiers had to dye their clothing to blend in with their surroundings. This limited edition figurine portrays a typical Australian infantryman in the Pacific theatre, armed with his trusted SMLE rifle. Resting his left arm on a large ammunition pouch, he carries the essential 1937 pattern webbing, which includes a bayonet and water bottle. A true representation of history, this figurine stands at approximately 30cm tall, including its base.
