About the book: Aircraft of The Royal Australian Air Force
Discover the fascinating history of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) through the acquisition, operation, and service record of its diverse range of aircraft. From the flimsy wood and canvas planes of World War I to the cutting-edge F-35 Lightning II, this book covers 176 aircraft types that have shaped the RAAF over its first hundred years.
Even before its formation, the RAAF implemented an alpha-numeric numbering system to identify and account for each aircraft in service. This book follows the A-number sequence, providing a unique perspective on the RAAF's history. With a comprehensive index and a quick reference guide, readers can easily locate specific aircraft types, even if they are unfamiliar with their A-number.
Aircraft of The Royal Australian Air Force is a must-have for RAAF veterans, military aviation enthusiasts, and anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the RAAF's centenary year.

5I haven't actually looked at this book,as it has been secreted away for a Xmas present for my son (serving member - the one I bought the sword for!) and my brother in law (ex RAAF). Just looking at the cover, I am sure that it will be of the highest quality.
